A message from our new CEO

We're making a new plan to help use less carbon, which will make our company more friendly to the environment and better at taking care of our planet.

On the 19th of June, Karen and Kyle climbed Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons, to raise funds for Ategi.

This Shared Lives week Ategi has something extra to celebrate, it's also our 30th anniversary! We're taking this opportunity to share some incredible stories about our Shared Lives carers and the people we support and show off how amazing it can be to take on this special role.

The theme for this year's Learning Disability Week is "Do you see me?". This year we wanted to use this empowering theme to launch Ategi Voices.

As a charity dedicated to supporting diverse communities, this day is particularly important. Accepting and celebrating diversity is one of our core values, read in this blog why it's crucial for us as both an employer and a support provider. 

As part of our 30th anniversary celebration, Ategi is spotlighting some of our long-standing staff members whose dedication and hard work have been the backbone of our success.

We're marking this years Loneliness Awareness week by shining a light on Ategi's Support Circles. Projects like this are essential for bridging the gap for adults with support needs who are falling through the gaps of support, so are at risk of isolation and loneliness.

This year, all of Ategi's offices were excited to get involved with the nationwide volunteering event, the "Big Help Out", held from 7th to 9th June. It's a nationwide wide campaign to encourage and raise awareness of volunteering across the UK and make a difference in communities.

The recent announcement from the Government about a potential overhaul of PIP has ignited concerns among the disabled community.
