Based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire

Job details:

  • Full Time (36.5 hours) – Monday to Friday

Ategi is a not-for-profit organisation operating Shared Lives Schemes across the south of England and South Wales, enabling people to live as independently as possible by providing personalised, community-based, person-centred care, making a real difference in people’s lives.

The successful candidate will have excellent administration & communication skills while being confident to develop positive work relationships with a wide range of individuals, groups and stakeholders.

You will have the ability to work under pressure, coordinate, monitor and assist our shared lives carers who support individuals who have a variety of long-term conditions. As a Shared Lives coordinator, you will work closely with Shared Lives carers to provide support and guidance, monitor service delivery standards and ensure that the carer works in line with relevant codes of practice and other relevant legislation.

Join the Ategi Team as a Shared Lives Locality Manager

Based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire also covering Bedfordshire & South Gloucester

Salary Circa 36K - 40K per annum depending on experience & qualifications

This is an interesting & rewarding opportunity for a committed individual who is looking to progress their career and take on a new challenge.

 Job details:

  • Full Time (36.5 hours) – Monday to Friday
  • Flexible working options, including Hybrid Working
  • Minimum of Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults’ Management) or recognised equivalent qualification
  • Ability to demonstrate management skills and continuous professional development

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative and make sound decisions. As a Shared Lives Locality Manager, you will lead the Shared Lives Coordinators and Administrators to provide exceptional person-centred care and support.  This involves helping them to support our Carers and the adults who live with them.

We are looking to expand in other areas therefore you will be Key in driving our business development, actively seeking opportunities to expand and grow our schemes, fostering relationships, and collaborating with partners including Local Authorities.

  • Support adults with additional needs a with a variety of support needs, this may include people with a learning disability, mental health issues or physical disabilities
  • Support people in a number of support settings
  • Provide pro-active, responsive, flexible “Strengths Based” support to people in their homes and communities.
  • Works as part of an enthusiastic, highly motivated team with a strong values base, considerate to colleagues and people we support, always acting professionally and with respect.

Becoming a Support Worker or Bank Support Worker

You have the option to apply to become a permanent team member as a support worker, or join us as a bank support worker where you'll have the flexibility to choose your hours each week.

About our Community & Supported Living Service

We have an opportunity to join one of Ategi’s dedicated and passionate teams, Community & Supported Living Service.

As a Support Worker for this team, you’ll have the opportunity really make a difference to people’s lives and join a longstanding team who are committed to providing excellent standards of care that can change people’s lives for the better.

Ategi’s Community & Supported Living Service offers support to adults who need extra help so they can keep living safely in their own home. Our Support Workers help people to live a normal life, supporting them to achieve their goals, participate in social and leisure activities, and we even support people with their education.

Our Community & Supported Living Service staff help people to live happily and safely at home by guiding them in how to look after their house, pay their bills, as well as supporting them to maintain and build happy relationships with others. Our trained Supported Living staff build up the people they support, helping them be part of their community and give them the skills they need to live independently in their home.

What Ategi can offer you?

What would you be doing in this role:

The person you will be supporting is a young gentleman who enjoys football, rugby, walks, and watching films.
He visits the community education centre/work (twice a week) and admires independent living.

Driving is essential for this role.
