Experts in what we do
With more than 28 years experience supporting people to live their communities, we are a leader in specialised social care services and are proud of the difference we make in people’s lives.
Good pay and benefits
We offer good pay and a great benefits package, better than most social care providers (more in the staff benefits section). All staff earn more than the Real Living Wage.
Value our people
We highly value individual perspectives and fresh thinking. We train our people, believe in learning, and encourage ideas from all our people. We provide opportunities for people to progress their careers within Ategi.
We work collaboratively
We support each other. With varied services, there are opportunities to support other teams and develop your skills in different areas if you wish, and to progress your career within ategi. We believe great ideas can come from people anywhere in the organisation and encourage people to share ideas. Staff from across Ategi also participate in our Staff Forum.
We value your life outside work
Whilst the sector is often known for unsustainable working hours and high levels of turnover, here at Ategi we do our best to ensure our staff strikes the right balance between work and personal life. For this reason, we have excellent family friendly policies and flexible working arrangements to help our teams get the best of both worlds. We have many staff who have worked for Ategi for a considerable number of years.
Bring your whole self to work
Ategi has a long standing reputation for being a friendly and fair support provider and employer. We welcome people from different backgrounds into the team and we don’t discriminate. We work hard to ensure that everyone we employ; every shared lives carer we assist; and every person we support has access to the same opportunities.
Join our team of support workers
Our support workers support people in their homes and their community, and work on a variety of shift patterns and hours. They make a huge difference in helping people take control and live their lives and are rewarded by what they achieve as well as our great pay and benefits.
Our office based roles
Ategi have a wide variety of job roles from administration to fundraising, communications to finance, to support roles. Our Shared Lives Coordinators support and supervise independent Shared Lives carers who support people in their own homes.
Could you become a Shared Lives carer?
Are you looking for more than just a job?
Our Shared Lives carers are not employees - they are self-employed people who support people from their own home. Like a foster-carer who supports adults rather than children.
Maybe you're already a carer for a family member, you might already have care experience, or just a passion for supporting people and a willingness to learn.
