Join the Ategi Team – Make a Real Difference
Role: Interim Engagement, Marketing & Fundraising Manager
Salary: £32,000–£36,000 (depending on experience)

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious communications professional who wants to make their mark in a growing, purpose-driven organisation.

As Interim Engagement, Marketing & Fundraising Manager, you will lead how Ategi tells its story—shaping and delivering communications that connect with people, inspire action and drive real impact. From raising awareness and supporting Shared Lives recruitment, to strengthening our reputation and supporting income generation, your work will play a vital role in helping Ategi grow and reach more people.

Ategi is a friendly not-for-profit organisation supporting adults with additional needs across Wales and England through Shared Lives, Supported Living and Community Support—working alongside people to build independence, connection and meaningful lives.

We’re looking for a highly motivated self-starter with a strategic mindset and a natural flair for storytelling. Someone who can spot opportunities, generate ideas and take ownership—balancing creativity with insight to deliver communications that are both engaging and effective.

This is a senior, largely standalone role with real autonomy. You’ll have the space to bring fresh thinking, test new approaches and shape how we communicate as an organisation. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Ategi to uncover and share powerful stories—showcasing the incredible work of our teams and the lived experiences of the people we support.

Alongside leading communications, you’ll contribute to fundraising and service development—creating compelling content for tenders, partnerships and funding opportunities, and helping to position Ategi for long-term sustainability and growth.

Whether delivered as a full-time role or as a part-time job share, this position offers a genuine opportunity to step into a senior role, lead with creativity and purpose, and be part of an organisation that is making a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day.

Key details

  • Full-time (36.5 hrs) or part-time job share (Mon–Fri)
  • 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover)
  • Flexible, hybrid/remote working
  • Occasional travel (including monthly Cardiff visit)
  • Full driving licence and access to a car required

About you
You’re a motivated self-starter with at least 2 years’ senior or management experience in communications, engagement, marketing, fundraising or service development. You combine creativity with strategic thinking and take ownership to deliver effective, engaging work.

Why join Ategi?
A friendly, people-focused organisation where your work will make a meaningful difference every day.
