If you need help to apply please ask your Shared Lives carer, your support worker or contact Ategi.

We can email you a form, or send one to you in the post.

The cost of living increase is impacting everyone.  This fund is to help people continue to do things that improve their wellbeing - to thrive not just survive.   We will not usually pay for basic essentials like food and heating as there are other funds for this.

However, if you can't get help from anywhere else to pay for essentials we will consider this.  Please contact us to discuss before you apply.

Unfortunately, no, the Wellbeing Fund is for people who are supported in Ategi's services only.

We consider applications every three months, and aim to give out 3 grants each time.

Emergency applications may be considered in exceptional circumstances. If you need your application considered urgently, you should explain why you need this considered more quickly alongside your application. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to make a decision more quickly.

Our decision making panel will meet once every three months.   Ategi may have more applications than we can fund.

Once you have applied we will let you know when the next meeting to decide on funding will be.

Read the guidance before you apply.  If you have questions or are unsure, you can talk to us before you apply.

Make sure you tell us about the difference this will make in your life.

We will judge each application on its own merits.  We will consider:

The impact the donation will have on the person’s wellbeing for
example, is it going to;

  • reduce isolation, build friendships and relationships
    improve physical or mental health
  • support access to community, volunteering, training, work
  • support development of hobbies or activities
  • increase independence

Has money been sought from other sources? What was the outcome?

If this grant is given, will the person be able to use it as per the
application, or will then need further funds from another source to top
this up? Are plans for additional funding realistic?
