Powering Up for a Greener Future: Our Environmental Wins in 2025

by Karen Thomas, Ategi's Head of Admin

Turning Ambition into Action

This year, Ategi has taken bold steps to reduce our environmental impact and champion sustainability. From community clean-ups to cutting plastic waste and driving carbon reduction, we’re making real change happen.

Our Green Champions

Our Green Champions have been unstoppable—sparking ideas, leading projects, and inspiring change across Ategi. They’ve driven initiatives like e-waste recycling, seed swaps, and energy-saving tips, proving that small actions create big impact.

The Big Tidy in Cardiff

We were excited to be part of The Big Cardiff Tidy Campaign! Armed with gloves and grit, our team joined forces to clear rubbish and restore pride to one of Wales’ most iconic waterfronts. It was a brilliant day of teamwork and community spirit—because cleaner streets mean a cleaner planet!

Plastic-Free Progress: Milk Matters!

We’ve waved goodbye to plastic milk bottles from supermarkets and switched to local milk deliveries in reusable glass bottles. This simple change supports local suppliers and slashes single-use plastic waste.

“Small changes, big impact—glass over plastic is a win for everyone.”

SG Carbon Project: Driving Down Emissions

We were proud to partner with SG Carbon, working to measure and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative is helping us set clear targets and embed carbon-conscious thinking into everything we do.

What’s Next?

• Expanding our garden projects and wildlife-friendly spaces
• Exploring solar panels for our offices
• Continuing to champion sustainability at every level
