ategi's Christmas Party 2011

Maxine is supported by ategi and this is her story about the ategi Christmas party...

ategi's Christmas party was on the 9th December 2011.  It was really lovely and is a good way of meeting and mixing with other people.  It is very important as it is a good way for the people who use ategi's services to come together and meet each other, whilst enjoying the fun and festivities of the season.  The raffle was really lovely it is amazing that local and national companies donated prizes. It is important that ategi says thank you for their contributions.

I really enjoyed the party because I haven't been with ategi long and it helped me to meet new people.  What was great for me was that I met a friend that I had lost contact with and now we have reestablished our friendship.

As I live in Cardiff and don't have a vehicle I found it was a long bus trip and because of this I was late and there was no food left! 

I loved the disco and the karaoke, being a wheelchair user I have confidence issues about going to discos, but going to the ategi Christmas party showed me how important it is to get out and about and have fun!  I didn't stop dancing all night. I even went home with a set of balloons to remind me of what a great time I had, that was brill.

I had two raffle prizes, a voucher for new look and a night of Bingo at Treforest.

I enjoyed listening to everyone on the karaoke, I have full admiration for each person because I couldn't get up there and sing!  I feel happier now as I am dealing with my confidence issues, and you never know I could sing next year!
