Ategi Celebrates the Festive Season
This December, Ategi hosted a series of Christmas events for Shared Lives carers, the people we support, family members and our staff.
In South Gloucestershire, we spent a fun evening making our own baubles for the tree, enjoying a buffet, and having a few drinks together. It was a bit messy, but a lovely way to start the festive season and add some personal touches to our home decorations.
Shared Lives Central Bedfordshire got together for a relaxed dinner at a local restaurant. It was great to see families from across the area meeting, catching up, and celebrating Shared Lives in such a friendly, inclusive way.
In Shared Lives Buckinghamshire, a small group of families joined us for an evening out, sharing plans for the year ahead over dinner. It was a nice way to finish the year, and we’re looking forward to planning more events in 2026.
Finally, in Cardiff, we held a Christmas party for the people we support across Shared Lives, Supported Living, Community Support and our staff. Everyone came in festive jumpers and enjoyed food, a raffle, singing, and dancing. We also presented certificates to Lee, Pip, and Francis to thank them for their outstanding support this year. Their stories and advocacy have made a real difference to what we do.
Across all our events, it was lovely to spend time together, celebrate the year, and enjoy a bit of festive cheer before the holidays.
