ategi AGM 7th October 2011

10/10/2011 12:32:52

ategi held its AGM on 7th October. See the full story to find out how the day went.

ategi held it’s 2011 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 7th October and it was a really great day! It was lovely to see so many staff, carers and service users at the event (about 100-120 people attended).

Sadly, our Chief Executive Andrew Price was absent following another (hopefully final!!) Andre Price, Chief Executiveoperation but he asked for a small speech that he’d written to be read at the start of the meeting. Joanna Ali, our Domiciliary Care Manager read Andrew’s words on his behalf, as he thanked everyone at ategi for being loyal and committed to the company and sticking through good times and bad.

The ‘business’ part of the AGM went without a hitch. The achievements of ategi during 2010/2011 were presented by me in Andrew’s absence and I was pleased to have many of them to shout about! ategi has had another successful year.

For the first time at an ategi AGM, questions were asked following the presentation and it became quite interactive. Hopefully, the answers that were given to the questions were helpful, but needless to say, ategi has and will always operate an ‘open door’ policy so if anyone still has questions, they are very welcome to come and ask!

After the main business was concluded, we involved ourselves in discussions at the tDiscussions at ategi AGM 2011ables. Everyone there was encouraged to take part and tell ategi what they thought about certain topics, for example ‘What should ategi do in 2012?’ We will be taking this feedback and all the suggestions/ideas and will use them to feed into the business throughout the next 12 months. A big thank you to everyone involved with that, and especially to Tim Southern, our Shared Lives Manager for organising it!

Finally, we got to the buffet and we weren’t disappointed! The food was delicious and I’m sure I’m not the only one who ate too much!!! Enjoying the food at ategi AGM 2011

All in all, it was a really good day and I hope that all who attended thought so too. Perhaps next year we will have even more people there!

Thank you again,

Helen Smith (Company Secretary)

If anyone would like to be involved with planning next year’s AGM, or if anyone has any ideas for it, please let Karen Thomas know.
