It's hard to believe that the ategi Shared Lives Scheme has been operating for 10 years.

This is a great achievement for ategi and particularly for the Shared Lives Teams both in Wales and Buckinghamshire.

But the scheme offers nothing without the dedication and commitment of all our wonderful shared lives carers who quietly and effectively get on with the business of including the people they support in their lives and activities along with their friends and families.

ategi shared lives carers do not seek praise, thanks or recognition for the remarkable role they play in the lives of many people yet they take their responsibilities seriously and work with the shared lives team to make sure that they and those they support, enjoy their lives in an ordinary yet extraordinary way.

To celebrate over 100 people including shared lives carers and the people they support joined the team for a garden party in Cardiff.
