Sam

"The experience I have gained from working with a charity, and being able to use my background skills and knowledge to help meet Ategi’s environmental goals has been invaluable – the first stepping stone of a fulfilling career. I am extremely grateful for this!"

Sam, a Cardiff University graduate, came to intern with Ategi through Cardiff University’s Student Futures team. Sam was taken on to take a look at the environmental impact of Ategi’s operations and services.

Mary

"I would recommend volunteering for Ategi if you have something to offer. It could give you the chance to meet with other people who have a vested interest in the future lives of people with learning disability and to develop their independence."

Mary has been a member of Ategi's Shared Lives panel for 22 years. The panel asseses potential Shared Lives carers to see if they're a good fit. Before becoming a panel member Mary was a Shared Lives carer herself and has been a foster carer since she was 23.

Danny

"I feel I am being encouraged more and being encouraged to do more for myself. I feel I am on the right track."
