About ategi’....

1994 : Following the ‘All Wales Strategy’ (1983) and the planned closure of Ely Hospital in Cardiff, ategi began supporting people with learning disabilities to live in the community.

The organisation started as a not for profit co-operative company, limited by guarantee.

1999 : ategi registered as a charity.

ategi’s work is determined by a voluntary Management Committee, responsible for the Governance, Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of the company’s activities. The Chief Executive has overall responsibility for day to day management of the company. 

ategi is registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate in Wales and with the Care Quality Commission in England.
